Offensive Training Sessions

DATE: Sunday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 16th

TIME: 10am - 11:30am

AGE: 4th-8th Grade Players

LOCATION: The All Sports Center

DETAILS: The Offensive Training will offer players a fun and competitive learning environment to improve their offensive IQ, dodging ability, and shooting mechanics in the off-season. The two 90 minute sessions will help players develop into impactful dodgers by focusing on proper footwork, body positioning, and building a “dodge to score” mindset. Shooting drills will teach the proper mechanics to become a total body shooter. They will then learn how to incorporate their dodging and shooting skills into game scenarios playing within an offensive set. The goal of the training is to provide all of our players with a strong fundamental offensive foundation as they prepare for the upcoming spring season.  Full pads required.




Defensive Training Sessions


DATE: Sunday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 16th


TIME​: 12pm - 1:30pm


AGE: 4th-8th Grade Players


LOCATION: The All Sports Center


DETAILS: Open to all defensive players, midfielders included. These training sessions will help players improve the footwork, body positioning, and stick positioning required to be an effective on ball defender. Additionally, group drills will help players improve their defensive IQ. Included but not limited too: Off ball play, sliding, approaches, etc. The goal of the training is to provide all of our players with a strong fundamental defensive foundation as they prepare for the upcoming spring season.  Full pads required.




Young Guns Skill Session

DATE: Saturday, December 1st

TIME: 10am - 11:30am


AGE: K - 3rd Grade Players

LOCATION: The All Sports Center

DETAILS: Our 90 minute session will cover teaching the core fundamentals of the game in a fun and competitive learning environment for the players. Session will include drills teaching proper stickwork form, shooting mechanics, dodging skills, groundball technique, and short field games to help players learn how to utilize the space of the field. The goal of the session is to help the Young Guns develop a stronger foundation to lead them into a successful spring season. Open to new and returning players to the SBYL program.  Only helmet and gloves required.
